I had a great time today reading from my book “Chicago Disasters” at the Lisle Museum Depot. Obviously, that is located in Lisle, Illinois. It was a great time. That really is a great place. If you are in the area, I suggest you stop by.
The whole authors series was put together by a young man, named Brian, who works there while also attending school. The reading was in the old luggage room in the old train depot. I was told the acoustics were great. I just loved reading there. I was also extremely grateful for the people who showed up and spent time there with me. I talked for about an hour and people had great questions. I also sold and signed a few books.
I am really amazed when anyone wants to come out and listen to me and talk to me about my books. The fact that this is a holiday weekend and so many people took time out of their schedule to come listen to me and talk with me just blows me away. So, thanks to the folks at the Lisle Museum Depot and the people who came out to see me today.
